Frequently Asked Questions
Answers grouped into five areas: booking, pricing, workmanship, coverage and safety. Every accordion starts closed, so open only what you need.
What do most people ask before booking a repair?
How fast someone can arrive, what it will cost and whether the work is guaranteed. The short answers are often same day, $95 to $520 for a completed repair including parts and labor, and 90 days on parts and labor. Call (844) 578-2720 for specifics.

Booking and appointments
How soon can a technician reach me?
Most callers are offered a same-day or next-morning window, and calls placed before mid-afternoon have the best chance of today. Availability depends on your ZIP code and which technician is nearest. Phone (844) 578-2720 and the dispatcher quotes the real next window rather than an estimate.
What are your opening hours?
Mon to Sun, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST. Call us any day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM EST. Weekend slots fill faster than weekday ones, so calling earlier in the week gives you a wider choice of arrival windows across our coverage area.
How long is the arrival window?
Two hours, not all day. The technician also calls ahead before setting off from their previous job, so you get advance warning rather than sitting at home from morning until evening waiting for a knock at the door that may never come when promised.
Do I need to be home for the visit?
Yes, an adult needs to be present to approve the flat price and authorise the work. If you need to step out mid-visit, tell the technician rather than leaving the property unattended, and be reachable so the quote can be approved.
How do I prepare for the appointment?
Clear a working path to the appliance, move anything fragile away, and note the brand and model number from the plate inside the door frame. Write down exactly what the appliance does and when it started. If water is involved, close the supply valve.
Pricing and payment
What does appliance repair cost?
Completed repairs typically run $95 to $520 including parts and labor, depending on the appliance, the component that failed and your local market. A service call of $69 to $89 covers the diagnosis and is waived once you approve the repair.
What is the service call and is it refundable?
It covers travel to your address and the on-site diagnosis. It is waived entirely once you approve the repair, so an approved job costs only the quoted repair price. If you decide not to proceed, you pay the service call and nothing further.
Is the price flat rate or hourly?
Flat rate, always. After the diagnosis you are given one figure covering parts and labor, agreed before anything is dismantled. An hourly meter rewards a slow job and leaves you carrying the risk if a repair turns awkward, which is why we do not use one.
Can the price change once work starts?
No. The flat price you approve is the price on the invoice. If the technician finds a second unrelated fault, that is quoted separately and you can decline it. The original figure never quietly increases because the job took longer than expected.
Do you take a deposit?
No deposit and no booking fee of any kind. Payment is taken on completion of the work you approved, never in advance of it. The technician confirms which payment methods are accepted at the point of quoting the flat price, well before any work begins.
Can you quote me over the phone?
We can give you the published band for your appliance and city. We will not quote a firm figure blind, because the same symptom can mean a twenty dollar sensor or a sealed-system failure. The flat price always follows the on-site diagnosis.
Workmanship and parts
Will the repair be finished in one visit?
For common faults, usually. Drain pumps, heating elements, thermal fuses, start relays and door gaskets ride on the van as standard stock. Brand-specific control boards and sealed-system components may need ordering, and the technician gives you a realistic lead time on site.
Do you use genuine manufacturer parts?
Where the design requires it, yes, and on brands with tight tolerances such as Bosch it genuinely matters. Elsewhere a quality equivalent performs identically for less. The technician tells you which is being fitted and what the difference is before you approve the work.
What if you cannot repair the appliance?
The technician explains why, usually by comparing the part cost against the appliance age, and you pay the service call for the diagnosis and nothing more. We do not sell appliances, so there is no incentive for us to push you toward replacing one.
What happens after the repair is done?
The technician runs a full function check before leaving, cycling through the appliance to confirm it is working as expected. If any concern arises after the visit, call us and we will arrange a return visit to assess it at no additional charge.
Coverage, brands and appliances
Which areas do you cover?
Florida, California, Illinois, New York and Texas, covering 60 cities and 2,438 ZIP codes. Every ZIP code has its own page, so you can confirm your address in seconds using the search on our service areas page rather than filling in a form and waiting.
Which appliances do you repair?
Refrigerators, freezers, washing machines, dryers, ovens and ranges, cooktops, dishwashers, microwaves, ice makers and garbage disposals. Those ten categories cover almost every call we take, and each one has its own page explaining the common faults, the parts involved and the typical price band.
Are you an authorised service centre for my brand?
No. We are an independent appliance repair company and not an authorised agent of any manufacturer. We service all major brands and source parts accordingly. If your appliance is still inside the manufacturer warranty, check that first, because a brand visit may cost nothing.
Can you work on built-in and premium appliances?
Yes. Built-in refrigeration, wall ovens and pro-style ranges are all within scope for our technicians. These need the exact model and serial number, because mid-production revisions change part fitment, and brand-specific components can carry noticeably longer lead times than standard freestanding appliances do.
Do you install or remove appliances?
No. Our focus is repair rather than installation, sales or disposal. If a diagnosis shows the appliance is beyond economic repair, we will tell you plainly and explain why, but arranging and fitting the replacement is not something we offer.
Safety and emergencies
When should I call 911 instead of you?
A gas smell, sparking or smoke, standing water that has reached an outlet, or any active fire. Leave the building first and call your gas utility or 911 from outside. We are an appliance repair company, not an emergency service, and those calls come first.
What counts as an appliance emergency?
A refrigerator or freezer warming with food at risk, an appliance actively leaking onto the floor, a burning smell from the dryer, or an oven that will not switch off. Those are moved ahead of routine bookings wherever a technician is working nearby.
Should I keep resetting a tripping breaker?
No. Resetting once to establish which appliance is responsible is reasonable. Resetting repeatedly against a live fault is genuinely dangerous, and fitting a higher rated breaker to stop the tripping removes the protection while leaving the fault exactly where it was.
Is it safe to repair a microwave myself?
No, and this is the one appliance where we would say so plainly. The high-voltage capacitor can hold a lethal charge long after the unit is unplugged, and discharging it safely needs a specific tool and procedure. There is no homeowner check worth that risk.
How long will food last if my fridge or freezer fails?
A refrigerator above 40 degrees Fahrenheit puts perishables at risk within about four hours. A full freezer holds safe temperature for roughly 48 hours if the door stays closed, and about 24 hours half full. Move valuable items to a cooler in one pass.
Do you set cookies or track visitors?
No. This site sets no cookies and runs no third-party tracking or advertising scripts, which is why there is no cookie banner. The only third-party content on any page is the Google Maps frame, which loads lazily. Our privacy policy states this explicitly.

One call confirms coverage, cause and cost.
Give the dispatcher your ZIP code and a short description of what the appliance is doing. You will hear whether you are covered, what the likely fault is, roughly what band it falls in, and when a technician can reach you. No deposit required.
